History and Milestones
1950s
The Beginning
In 1955, ANALABS was formed by a group of chemists and was the first commercial laboratory in Singapore & Malaysia. Starting from three divisions to support our customer in the agricultural, Chemical, Biochemical fields.
1960s
Expansion to Asian Markets
ANALABS has expanded its businesses into several regions and set up overseas offices in ASIAN countries. For instance, Medan, Jakarta, etc. With the rising demand, we diversified our businesses into the minerals, soil, mechanical engineering, wastewater treatment industries, etc.
1970s
ICLS Membership
In 1975, ANALABS has become a member of the International Consultancy and Laboratory Services (ICLS).
1980s
New Management
In 1986, Mr Chua BC, Mr Cheong KP together with a group of investors mounted a management buyout of ANALABS from its then owner.
Our First Accreditation
In 1986, the Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SINGLAS) was launched under the then Singapore Institute of Standards and Industrial Research (SISIR).
Next year, we are honoured to be among the first laboratories in Singapore to be accredited by the ISO/IEC Guide 25 accreditation in Chemical and Biological Field of Testing. The accreditation recognised that our sample is competently tested and sampled.
1990s
A Pioneer in Environmental Testing
ANALABS is rapidly expanding from traditional scientific analysis to environmental, health and safety monitoring, testing, assessment, and consultancy services.
In 1999, we received the ISO/IEC Guide 25 accreditation in Environmental Field of Testing.
2000s
We Care for Our Environment
Notably, we are the first and the one of the very few commercial laboratories to be an ISO 14001 certified company since 2001. It underscores our unwavering commitment to being a successful, reputable, trusted and an environmental friendly company
From Testing To Building
In 2001, we diversified our businesses into laboratory design, laboratory engineering and laboratory installation, and formed the subsidiary, ANACHEM TECHNOLOGIES (S) PTE LTD. Today, ANACHEM is expertise in design and built turnkey laboratory, renovation, A&A works, gas piping works, gas distribution system, laboratory fume hood, benches maintenance and other construction work for all industries
Expansion to China
In 2005, we set up our subsidiary laboratory, ANALABS TECHNOLOGIES (WUXI) CO., LTD in Wuxi, China. Notably, the laboratory is the only independent professional laboratory being certified by Seagate Technology International, China.
2010s
55th Birthday
In 2010, we celebrated our 55th anniversary.
2020s
70th Years of Pioneering Spirit (1955-2025)
We are honoured and appreciative of being chosen for our customer’s testing needs over the past seven decades. It has been our honour to provide our services to over 5,000 companies from different industries and countries.
Present
Today, we focus our services to chemical, microbiological, soil, water and environmental testing. Additionally, we also focus to support businesses in achieving excellence in environmental protection and management, workplace safety and health, product quality control, as well as to comply with the relevant regulatory requirements.
